Munich

General information

With a population of 1.3 million, Munich, the capital of Bavaria, is one of the largest cities in Germany. But because of its many cosy residential areas and parks, it has been able to keep its peaceful atmosphere. On the other hand, Munich is the centre of Germany's information technology boom with many internationally-known companies such as BMW or Siemens based here.
In winter the average temperature is about 2°C. In summer, the average temperature is about 25°C. A visit to one of the many beergardens is highly recommended.

Due to the large selection of cultural events, Munich attracts many visitors and, as a University city, offers great nightlife.

Munich offers a variety of activities for everyone. Whether opera or theatre, museums or concerts, sports or shopping, everyone can find something to suit his/her taste. For those who wish to explore on their own, we would gladly recommend different sights or excursions. And for those who would rather be part of a guided group, we offer an extensive programme.
